A golf products manufacturer.

Product:
Customized envelope for Grip Guides® product packaging.

Challenge:
Grip Guides is an interactive, heat-activated training aid for golfers. This product needed to be marketed effectively in a retail setting with packaging that:

• Protects the product
• Highlights key product features/benefits
• Lets potential retail customers interact with the product

Western States Envelope & Label partnered with the client’s marketing and design team to create this packaging envelope. Our professionals made recommendations about stock, placement of cuts and manufacturing processes.

Solution:
Grip Guides are housed in an eco-friendly, all-paper envelope with an open window featuring the product. Its custom size fits snug, with special cutouts so users can interact with the product inside the envelope. Manufacturing specifications: 

• 65 Productolith Gloss Coated Cover stock
• 4-color offset ink, two copies, flat sheet printed, steel rule die cut and converted
• 3-1/2 x 11-1/2” with special cutout, sombrero style hanger cuts, and custom perforated score for folding since window is 1/8” from edge
• Extended, collection style side seam to feature product instructions
• Kwik-Tak® seal for product security

As a result of this innovative design, Western States earned a 2012 Print Excellence and Knowledge (PEAK) Award in the Envelopes, High Impact category.
